Eliza talks about Faith

While attending the Supanova Pop Culture Expo, Eliza talked about her years portraying the insane bad slayer, Faith. Make sure you read this, it’s a good read. I enjoyed it!

Eliza Dushku was most recently seen as Echo, the persona-shifting ‘doll’ kicking ass and taking names, as Eliza’s characters are wont to do, on Joss Whedon’s short-lived Fox series Dollhouse–but even today, she’s still best known for a different role in another, longer-lasting and much more popular cult classic Whedon series: that of Faith, Sarah Michelle Gellar’s dark-haired slayer frenemy on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Earthsmightiest.com has posted an old (new to us!) interview that Eliza did in her Tru Calling days. Hopefully all enjoy!

Whether she’s tapping into her dark side or playing someone a little lighter, all of it is somehow related to who she is as a person at any given moment.

“It depends on what comes up, where I am and what I’m giving off,” says Dushku in this interview conducted at the time of Tru Calling.

‘On Broadway’ Screening to benefit Bridge the Gap
Category: Miss Eliza News, Movies
25 June, 2010

The film “On Broadway” stars local actors who benefited from the public schools in Massachusetts, so it seems only fitting that their film would help benefit the Arlington Public Schools in their time of need.

Tonight, the Regent Theatre will hold a screening of the film “On Broadway” starring Eliza Dushku (from Watertown) and Joey McIntyre (from Boston).

According to the release, the film is about the way “laughter helps us deal with loss. It’s about the ties of family and the warmth of Boston’s neighborhoods. It’s about a young man with vision, and the guts to go for it. It’s about the refusal to bow to adversity. It’s about a father and son, and breaking down the wall that divides them. It’s about life.”

The film has won several awards already at film festivals nationwide and all proceeds from tonight’s showing will benefit the Bridge the Gap campaign to raise $1 million for the Arlington Public Schools.

The campaign set an ambitious goal and latest numbers show they are up to $587,000.

After the film, there will be a post screening question and answer session with the film’s writer/director Dave McLaughlin and actor/producer Lance Greene, both of whom are Arlington residents.

“We’re so excited to bring a film that resonates the importance of connections and community to benefit the future success stories of the Arlington Public Schools,” said Lance Greene, a lead actor and producer of “On Broadway” in a statement.

Tickets are $15. For more information, visit the website.

Eliza was not pleased when ‘The Bachelor’s’ winner, Vienna Girardi was eyeing her current boyfriend, former NBA star and actor, Rick Fox. Eliza posted a screen cap that catches Girardi eyeing Fox, and along with the photo she said this;

Vienna, I will CUT you. Keep yo’ eyes on yo’ own meat!

I’m just saying… if Vienna knows who Eliza is, she’d be wise to heed the warning. Eliza’s no joke.

16 May, 2010

In 2011, it is oficial that the DC comic Wonder Woman will become a movie! That’s not the only good news, the other good news is that Eliza is supposedly a possible interest for the lead. Check this out;

The DC Comic Wonder Woman is being made into a movie finally! Lynda Carter has stated that she will accept a cameo role in the new movie. Some of the actresses that have been thought about for the role are Sandra Bullock, Megan Fox, Eliza Dushku, and Beyonce Knowles. The movie which will be released some time in 2011, is being produced by Joel Silver and Leonard Goldberg. Warner Bros. and Silver Pictures are very excited to get started on the project. Beyonce has stated also that she would love to play the role of a super hero. It has been a long and winding road to get this particular movie off the ground and into production.

I don’t know about you, but I think it would be AMAZING if Eliza played Wonder Woman!
